Generator lead desk checklist: what to check each day
Use a short desk check to find unowned leads and promises due today. Finish with named actions, not a longer meeting.
Start the daily lead check with new requests that have no owner, replies waiting for a person and promises due today. Read the latest note before anyone acts.
Leave with a short list: the task, its owner and when it is due. A contact stop or changed booking must shape that task, not get lost below it.

Check the queue in this order
First find new real requests that no one owns. Then look for replies waiting for a person. Check visits and promises due next.
Read the latest note before you assign work. A buyer may have replied late, changed the visit or asked to stop contact.
- Find unowned new inquiries.
- Find replies waiting for a person.
- Check today’s visits and changes.
- Find quote or scope answers your team owes.
- Check missed promises and handovers.
Ask for one clear next action
A staff member may say a lead is being handled. Ask what that means. Will they call, answer a scope question or confirm a date?
Give the action a name and a time the owner can meet. If the owner is away, ask the backup to accept it. Do not assign work to someone who cannot see the record.
Keep problems out of the quick check
A complex site or pricing issue may need a separate review. Name who will take it and when. Do not turn the desk check into a long debate about one job.
Flag repeated missing data for the system owner. One clean change may help many leads, but the due customer task still needs an owner now.
Separate a task assigned from a task done
Use a small handoff check. The owner should be able to open the right record and say what they will do next. A name in a box is not enough.
If a task is blocked, record the blocker and who can clear it. Keep it visible at the next check.
Close with a read-back
Read the short action list once. Ask each owner to confirm their items. Make sure every buyer promise due today has a next move.
Later, check what actually happened. A checked box should mean the action was done, not just assigned. Keep real leads, visits, quotes and payments distinct. Internal tasks can help staff keep promises. They do not grant new contact rights or start new buyer messages on their own.

Check who can make the first reply
Dean explains how the office covers field work. At the desk check, confirm that the named owner can see and use the record.
