Turn a generator video into a useful, source-linked guide

Use your video as source material, then build a page that helps with one task. Check the words against the original.

Turn a generator video into a useful page by choosing one task, checking the full source and adding a tool the reader can use. Link the source so its facts can be checked.

If an existing page already solves the task, improve that page. A new video title alone is not a reason for a new article.

    On this page

Pick a task the page can finish

Choose one question from the video. For example, how should the office prepare an estimator for a home visit? The page should help the reader do that task.

Check your site first. If a good page already answers it, add the missing step there. A new title does not make the same answer a new resource.

    Check the source before writing

Read the full source text. Listen to the clip where a name, number or claim is unclear. Auto-captions can get all three wrong.

Note the video title, link, publish date and passage time. Keep the interview date separate if known. A new upload date does not make an old result current.

If the speaker guesses what may happen next, keep it as a guess. Do not turn open quotes into sold jobs or sales into money received.

Add a tool the reader can use

Explain the useful point in your own words. Then add a small checklist, worksheet or example. Label your own advice so it does not look like something the speaker tested.

Keep three types of text apart

Mark the source fact, your lesson and your new tool in the draft notes. This stops a useful idea from looking like a result the speaker proved.

Keep a future hope in future terms. Keep an unclear date unknown. Do not fix a thin source by writing a stronger result.

    Do a side-by-side check

Read the page with the video open. Check each fact about the person and their work. Link the original passage when the time is reliable.

Remove old offers that no longer apply. Keep the source context short but clear. A useful page can stand on its own. Its source should be easy to check.

Ask one person to use the tool. Where do they get stuck? Fix that step before you add more words. No length or upload count can promise a search ranking.
