    One job, one checked story

Turn one generator job into a useful story

Build a short generator job story from checked notes. Use this blank source sheet to separate the need, work and result.

A useful generator job story shows the need, the checked scope, the work done and what was still open. Write those facts first, then choose one lesson for the next homeowner.

Keep every claim tied to the job record. The story does not need a large sales number or a promise about future outages.

    On this page

Start with a blank source sheet

Ask the crew lead to fill this out while the job is still fresh. Keep the public draft separate from the private job record.

    • Need: What did the homeowner ask for?
    • Scope: What work did our firm agree to do?
    • Choice: What did we need to check first?
    • Work: What did our crew complete?
    • Result: Which facts can we support?
    • Use: Which words and photos may we share?

Keep the result close to the facts

A finished install is a fact you can check. A claim that it solved every future outage need is a different claim. Do not turn one into the other.

If part of the job is still open, say so or wait. Do not write a complete success story from a booked start date.

Ask the person who owns the job record to check the draft. They should flag work done by another firm and details that still need proof.

    Use a short story shape

Give each part a few plain lines. Add one approved photo that shows the work you discuss. A caption should explain why that view matters.

Give the next reader a useful path

Link the story to the matching service page. A new buyer can then see how to ask about their own site.

Keep the date and source notes in your file. Review the public page if a fact changes. Never reuse a customer’s words as a quote unless those are the words they approved.

Turn a rough note into a useful sentence

Ask what the reader learns from each line. Best job ever says little. A fact about the agreed work helps the next buyer know what to ask.

Keep opinion and proof apart. If a customer said they were pleased, label it as their view and use only approved words. Do not turn it into a claim about every job.

    Watch and learn

Start a job story with the customer experience

Watch the example questions about the job and the work. Ask for clear permission before you record or share a person's story.
