Quarterly generator marketing review: choose the next bottleneck
Use a quarterly review to choose the next bottleneck to fix. Compare lead groups, cash, service work and crew space.
A quarterly review should name one gap to fix and who owns it. Check lead fit, held visits, cash, later work and crew room first.
Give each lead group the same time to sell before you judge it. New leads have had less time to turn into jobs and paid work.

Use the right groups and dates
Start with new enquiries from each month of the quarter. Keep their sources and first dates. Check what happened to each group by the same review date.
The oldest group has had more time to sell and pay. Show that age gap. Compare groups at similar ages when judging channel quality.
Keep sales from old leads visible too. Tie them back to their original group rather than using them to inflate the newest campaign.
Check quality, costs and cash
Review fit, reached leads, held visits, quotes, finished jobs and payments. Note unknown sources and missing job costs before calling a channel a winner.
List refunds, canceled work and unpaid balances. Use actual costs, including amounts owed where relevant. Ask the person who keeps the books to check the money view.
A cash total does not show company profit. Do not hide that gap behind a return figure.
Check what happened after the install
Look at later service work, repeat business and retained service plans only where the records show them. State which group and period you mean.
A happy review is not proof of paid retention. A renewal due next month is not a renewal received. Keep each measure clear.
Ask the crew which jobs used more time than expected. A source that brings work you cannot serve well may need a different message or limit.
Use the same age for a fairer comparison
Keep one view of all cash and work at quarter end. Use it to check the books and crew load.
For a fairer source check, give each group the same time to sell. Choose a fixed age. Check each group at that age.
A new group may not be that old yet. Mark it still open. Do not fill the gap with hoped-for sales.
Choose one move for the next period
Rank the gaps by their likely effect and the work needed to fix them. Use evidence to pick the first task, then set its owner and review point.
- Check the underlying records.
- Agree the main gap with the team.
- Confirm crew and office space.
- Assign the first task.
- Save the decision beside the old report.

Use the review to choose the next gap
This scorecard asks what happened at each sales step. Give jobs time to finish and get paid before judging the next change.
