One source for public business facts

Keep your generator business details in sync

Check your firm’s name, phone and location details across owned pages and claimed listings. Track the source, owner and verified fix.

Keep one checked sheet for your generator firm’s name, hours, phone routes and service area. Compare it with the public places buyers use. Fix a real mismatch and read the live result again.

A different phone number may be part of a planned call route. Check before you replace it. Matching text alone is not a top-rank promise.

Choose the facts your team trusts

Ask the owner to check the firm’s name and phone routes. Check the hours when people can reach you. Agree on the address or service area to show.

A place where you get mail may not be a place buyers can visit. Keep that clear. Google calls for true facts about the real business.

If your site tracks calls, note the setup. A number may differ by source for a reason. Have its owner check the route before a change.

List the places you can check

Start with your website and the profiles you own. Add your dealer page if you have one. Check a trade site that sends people to you too.

Save each exact link. A search result screenshot alone may show old text, so open the listing itself too.

    • Business name shown.
    • Phone displayed and team reached.
    • Address shown or service area listed.
    • Public hours and website link.
    • Who controls this page or profile.
    • Check date and correction status.

Fix wrong facts through the right owner

Fix the places you control. For a page owned by another firm, use its normal route to ask for a fix. Save the request and the result.

Do not create another profile just because you cannot access the existing one. First find out who owns it and use the proper access route.

Sort a mismatch before you change it

Keep the displayed fact and the fact your team approved side by side. Record who owns that page. This avoids fixing the same place twice while a key listing stays wrong.

Mark each row wrong, correct or still to check. Do not call an untested number correct just because it looks familiar.

Confirm the edit outside the editor

After a change is saved, open the public page again. Does the new text show? A saved edit may not be live yet.

Mark work still in progress as open. Do not tick it off from memory. Repeat the checks when the firm moves. Do the same when phone routes or service areas change.

Keep the sheet short enough for the office to use. It should help a caller reach the right team today.
