A next step that makes sense
Link your generator website pages with a purpose
Plan links around the next homeowner task. Connect install, service, job-story and quote pages with clear wording and useful destinations.
Link each generator page to the next useful task: see relevant work, check the scope or ask for a quote. Use words that name that task. Keep a direct contact path for buyers who are ready.
Start with the reader’s question. A few clear links can do more than a long list of towns or keywords.

Draw the buyer paths
Write down the main reasons people visit. A new-install buyer may want to see work, learn the process and ask for a quote. A service caller needs a different route.
Put each page name on a small note. Draw the next useful step. If every line points to the homepage, you may be sending people back to start.
Make the words name the destination
A link such as “See our install process” is clearer than “Click here.” The reader should know what kind of page will open.
Google recommends clear link text and normal links with a real web address. Ask your builder to check any card that only acts like a link through a script.
Keep the label honest. A link called Prices should not lead to a form with no price guidance.
Put the link where the question comes up
A job story can link to the matching service after it explains the work. A cost answer can point to the quote process where the reader needs it.
Do not force every reader through the whole site. Keep the main contact step easy to find for someone who is ready now.
Find the page that leaves a buyer stuck
Open one useful guide from its own address. Pretend you did not come from the homepage. Can you tell which firm offers the work and where to go next?
A cost guide may need a link to the quote process. A job story may need the matching service. Choose the link that closes that gap.
Walk the map on a phone
Open each path in the order you drew it. Check that the link works and the next page fits its label. Make sure you can get back.
Keep internal links plain. Do not add campaign tags just to measure clicks within your own site. Ask the site owner how the existing tracking handles that.
Save the map with the page brief. Update it when a page moves or the next step changes.
